ABOUT

The residents of Station Road, Barkers' Court and Birch Tree Close are getting together to have a street party on 29th April 2011.

The street party coincides with the Royal Wedding, and is an excuse for everyone to have a good time over the bank holiday and for us all to get to know each other a bit better.

At present we are still in the early stages, exploring the best options for where to have it and how to go about things. We are also dealing with the surprisingly complex web of bureacracy which seems to be involved - meeting with the Police, the Council and all sorts of other people. The main driving force behind the party are Kate Page-Smith from Station Road and Ellie Stokes from Barkers' Court... but after our first public meeting on 30th January we have formed a committee to which tasks can be more fairly delegated.

For updates on progress in organising the party, please look at the news pages. For more information about what is happening on the day itself, please visit the party page. More information, including documents, can be found here.
