Street party photos

Here are some of the highlights of the street party: the rest of the Paul's photos are now on the Gallery page.

The party was opened by the Rev. Henry Morris, vicar of Madeley, who is seen here chatting to Kate.

Kate had put a lot of work into her 'archaeology and history' display, which (thanks to display boards loaned by Pete and Dawn) proved a very popular attraction and talking point.

Entertainment included egg-and-spoon races for children...

...and for adults...

...there was also a three-legged race, which was won in allegedly controversial circumstances by Paul and Dan. There were also a number of games generously provided by Grant, who is seen here at a moment of crucial concentration during an epic game of Jenga.

There was also a very amusing game of musical chairs...

...meanwhile BBC Radio Shropshire dropped in, and spoke to Jo about bunting and Kate about history.

All in all it was a lovely day.
