The application is in... fingers crossed!

Well it has been an extremely interesting week with lots of discussion, consultation and excitement - but Kate and Ellie have got the application in to the Council on time!

After our public meeting we circulated a leaflet, with what we had thought was the final - and unanimous - decision to go with Option B. Of the 49 formal responses received before 4th February, 18 were each in favour of Options A and B, with 13 for Option C.

However concerns were raised rather late in the day by one of the residents of Barkers' Court (who had not attended the meeting or returned a slip). After discussion among the committee and with other residents, we all agreed that the best solution was a modified version of Option C.

More details of this will be posted here shortly, but in essence it still enables us to have a street party without inconveniencing anyone. What's more, after talking with the Council traffic department today, it looks as if some of the other issues may be easier than we had originally thought. Fingers crossed!

The Council have acknowledged receipt of our application, and we look forward to hearing back from them soon.

Some of the documents relating to the application are now available on the documents page.
